Community Cohesion…Hill Chapel is back!
During the half term break, we have had two significant community events where staff, children, families and friends came together over two weekends. Each deserves a separate thank you blog…
Firstly, I need to thank all of the children, families and staff who came to the reopening of our beloved Hill Chapel. Following months of extensive roof works and inside decoration, the parishioners made the church grounds look beautiful to welcome Bishop Swarbrick for the rededication. The parish property group and parish council have worked tirelessly to secure the works and ensure our church stands for centuries to come. It started with our school band playing outside as we welcomed visitors from far and wide. With over 300 people filling our church and many standing, we couldn’t have wished for a better day.
We understand that families are away for half term breaks and it was humbling to see how many of you attended after we had broken up to show your support for our school and parish community. The children played brilliantly and we also thank our alter servers Lewis, Eleanor ,Paige and Joshua who had such an important role on the day. Thank you children, school staff and all of you who came to support us. Your presence was greatly valued and noticed.
