Celebrations and success
It really is hard to believe that we are coming to the end of another half term!
There are still great things to look forward to…this Sunday, the re -dedication of Hill Chapel with Bishop Swarbrick, our school band performing and a whole school and parish community celebration with all children and families invited to join us. Next weekend is our brilliant community Goosnargh school float and we have a music concert alongside other primary schools, annual music collaboration concert and much more. Our children are constantly attending sporting events and we will be welcoming new starters for stay and play sessions.
A couple of weeks ago, we enjoyed a great whole school VE Day celebration and the children loved watching the school band. We have some very young children in our band and every member played brilliantly.
Yesterday, our little gymnasts came 1st overall in the Preston small schools competition and we had a couple of our children with 1st and 2nd places- well done team!
Tomorrow ,we look forward to our May Procession. Your child is very welcome to come to school with flowers for the crowning of Mary.
It would be lovely to see as many families attending the 10.30am Mass on Sunday , where we will meet outside of the church door until the Bishop arrives and formally strikes the door for us all to re-enter after such a long time of major roof repairs and redecoration. The transformation is beautiful.
The school band will be playing as we have refreshments after Mass-please do come and join us for this huge community event.
Thank you to all who are helping with our school float and all for your constant support.
